Hair Removal

Performed during your hair’s growth phase, our SHR technology emits light at a set wavelength. This light is absorbed by the hair’s pigment and pulsed to target the hair follicle. This process is repeated across a series of sessions, with each session timed to your hair’s growth cycle.

Our OMNI™ by Sciton uses multiple laser wavelengths to target hair follicles, and can be used across a range of skin tones and hair types. Your practitioner will discuss with you whether SHR or OMNI is the more suitable option for your treatment plan.

The number of treatments required will vary from person to person but typically, a course of 8-10 treatments every 4-6 weeks is required with annual maintenance treatments recommended for optimal results.

Great! We look forward to welcoming you to The Skin Lab. 24-48 hours prior to your treatment, we ask you to please shave the treatment area. Please ensure no fake tan is used within 14 days. Moisturisers and exfoliants should be avoided within 24 hours prior, and recent sun exposure should be limited.

Following your treatment, you may experience redness to the treatment area that feels similar to a sunburn. A cold compress or aloe vera gel can be applied to soothe any discomfort. We strongly encourage our patients to avoid sun exposure to the treatment area following their treatment and avoid the use of any additional hair removal methods.

Following your treatment, your skin may appear pink for a few hours post-treatment which can be easily concealed with mineral makeup.
