The number of recommended treatments varies based on the concern being addressed. Most clients benefit from a series of three treatments for optimal results. Results continue to improve over time, with the best outcome visible around 3 months following the final treatment.

After a PICO FX treatment, you’ll notice a small red dots on the skin, similar to a hickey. These little vacuoles are filled with healing and repair mechanisms from the body – stimulating improved collagen and elastin production. As the skin’s barrier hasn’t been broken, it’s safe to use a mineral powder over the top to hide these dots up to 24 hours after treatment.

Occasionally, a mild to severe histamine response may occur, resolving after the downtime period and easily managed with an over-the-counter antihistamine and topical cream.

Take it easy on your skin for five days post-treatment. Use a gentle cleanser morning and night, apply moisturiser or your prescribed post-treatment product, and avoid direct sunlight. Prioritise sun protection with high SPF sunscreen and a hat whenever outdoors.
