Dr Heather Jenkins

Dr Heather Jenkins is Medical Director at The Skin Lab and has practised medicine for more than 40 years, including over 28 years in skin and cosmetic medicine.

A graduate of The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with honours, Dr Jenkins is a full member of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia. She has undertaken extensive training in laser and light-based treatments and holds a Queensland radiation use licence under the Radiation Safety Act 1999.

As Medical Director, Dr Jenkins plays an important role in supporting clinical standards across The Skin Lab. She is closely involved in the training and development of the clinic’s dermal clinicians, helping to ensure treatments are delivered thoughtfully, consistently and with a strong understanding of patient safety and suitability.

Her approach is considered and individualised. She values honest conversations about what a treatment can realistically achieve and believes good care comes from understanding both the patient and the purpose behind each recommendation.

Outside the clinic, Heather is a daughter, wife, mother, stepmother and grandmother. She enjoys cooking, gardening, travelling, reading and knitting.
