Whether you are naturally freckly or have developed age spots and pigmentation after years in the sun, you may be looking to reduce or remove these in favour of a clearer complexion and more even skin tone. And with the ‘glass skin’ trend having developed such a cult following, it’s no surprise! Plump, even and flawless skin will always be on trend in our books, which is why we have added the best possible laser pigmentation technology to our treatment menu.
Not just caused by sun exposure, pigmentation for some means stubborn melasma that has surfaced after hormonal spikes such as pregnancy. We can also utilise our laser Pico Genesis pigment removal to treat melasma, which we know can be incredibly stubborn, persistent, and unresponsive to most topical agents.
What to expect
Which lasers do you use, and how does the treatment work?
Every case of pigmentation is different, from the type of pigment to its depth in the skin. We utilise a number of laser modalities to approach pigmentation, including Pico Genesis. All of these vary in how they work, but in a general sense, direct energy in various wavelengths to break down the melanin (pigment) in the skin. This energy is absorbed by melanin particles which then shatter, and are transported out of the body by its natural filtration system.
Your experienced therapist will assess your individual case of pigmentation before deciding which modality is appropriate for you. We are able to treat the full face, neck and decolletage, as well as spot-treating certain smaller areas of the face, or even the hands and arms.
How many treatments do I need?
The number of treatments required to address stubborn pigmentation will depend on the severity of your skin concern. Generally, a series of treatments are required.
