Shae-Lee’s career in skin began well before she became a nurse. She spent several years working as a dermal and laser therapist, building a strong understanding of skin, treatment preparation and the patient experience before completing her Bachelor of Nursing Science.

Since becoming a Registered Nurse, her experience has expanded across cosmetic nursing, perioperative care and procedural settings. She is also currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Nursing through QUT, continuing to build on her clinical knowledge and nursing practice.

She has worked as a scrub and scout nurse in a day hospital, supporting surgeons in theatre, maintaining sterile fields and caring for patients through procedures and recovery. Her nursing background also includes medical ward experience and wound care.

That combination gives Shae-Lee a particularly well-rounded understanding of skin-focused care. She is comfortable with the clinical detail behind a procedure, but equally mindful of what the experience feels like for the person having it. She places importance on clear communication, careful preparation and helping patients know what to expect before and after treatment.
