We have the knowledge, skills and experience to offer the best care for you and your skin. Removing unwanted skin lesions such as moles, skin tags, cysts and seborrheic keratosis can be surprisingly simple. Our dermatologists and skin doctors will complete an examination of the lesion and can then discuss options from our range of surgical, scarless and laser treatment options.
What to expect
Do I need to do anything beforehand?
If you are on blood thinning medications this may need to be ceased prior to the procedure.Fish oil should be ceased 10 days prior to the procedure. Wear clean comfortable clothing. Paracetamol taken half an hour prior to the procedure can aid with comfort. Do not take Nurofen (ibuprofen) or Aspirin as this will increase bleeding.
What happens during my treatment?
The lesion can be removed by excision and suture repair. Sometimes we are able to shave or scrape the lesion from the surface of your skin. We also use laser treatment where appropriate.
What happens afterwards?
You will be provided with aftercare advice and rescheduled for further visits if necessary.
