All The Skin Lab skin treatments begin with a comprehensive consultation where you’ll share your medical history, background and treatment goals. Together, we’ll formulate a treatment plan to achieve your objectives, which may include other treatments and skincare.

Once your skin has been thoroughly cleansed, we’ll begin applying our skin needling technology to your treatment area. You’ll experience a vibrating sensation as many micro needles gently penetrate your skin to create micro wounds to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The sensation will vary depending on the depth of your treatment, which will be tailored by your therapist depending on your needs and goals. Some areas may be mildly to moderately uncomfortable, but not unbearable. However, the needling component itself is surprisingly quick, lasting around 10 minutes.

Unlike other Skin Needling methods, we do not drag or roll so treatments are not only more precise and direct but much more comfortable for the patient.

Following your skin needling treatment, your skin will appear flushed with the chance of mild swelling. Depending on the depth of your needling, you may experience some redness and mild stinging for the first several days. You may also experience some mild flaking around days 3-5. Your skin should be relatively well healed after around 7 days, with noticeable glowing and plumpness beginning around two weeks after treatment.

Your clinician will provide you comprehensive post-treatment advice and instructions. These include avoiding excess sun exposure, applying recommended post-treatment skincare, remaining hydrated and potentially visiting us in between skin needling sessions for other therapies such as LED Light Therapy, which will enhance your results and speed your skin’s recovery time. It is extremely important that you keep your skin clean and hydrated, and wear SPF50 broad spectrum sun protection each day (even when indoors). For best results, reduced irritation and faster healing, we recommend strictly sticking by skin care advice from your treating therapist after each microneedling treatment.
